Don't you wish you could hold
The angel in the centerfold
The fantasy you couldn't control, who walked away from you
Don't you wish you could hold
The pretty little paper doll
The one you couldn't quite control, who walked away from you...

Not much to say about today really....well there is, actually, I'm just too dang tired to do it.  It would involve a huge rant, which I partially let go on my twitter account, but to actually address the issue as it deserves to be addressed would take me a while to compose.  So I will leave it at the fact that it was an enlightening and interesting day.
Started drama today and it's gonna be a blast. The prof is this tiny compact little Mexican (not sure...she speaks Spanish though...?) woman who's like a whirling dervish (look it up) of crazy energy.  Bonus...there's no test and there's literally no homework.  Her goal is to have her course be a breath of fresh air from the drag of all our other classes...any work we're doing, which is just working on drama games and exercises is done in class and we are not to even think about the class outside of class time. Damn...guess I just did. But either way, awesome class and we had fun the first day I think :).
ELA and Reading seems interesting enough...she's been a teacher for a dozen plus years here and in TO but this is her first time teaching a university class.  A bit unnerving, but she seems to have it under control and she's already helping me out by gathering any resources she has for my ELA unit I'm doing during my block in a couple months.
Aboriginal Ed...let's just not go there. That in and of itself deserves an entire blog.
Math...I don't think it's gonna be hard! Such a relief. A lot of work, yes, but it's not going to frustrate me like it used to when I was a kid...damn math phobia.
All in all, not a bad day. And I caught a nap during break...yes, and even with that nap I'm still tired.

Note to the younger education students who were also in the common room while I was napping (or trying to)...when you get into 4th and 5th year, you will get your just deserved karma, not to worry. There will be a new slew of younger undergrads who think it's cool to be loud and noisy and swear blue streaks and cause a general ruckus while you're trying to use that precious hour or two to catch up on some much needed sleep after planning and teaching, and working and, let's not forget, actually going to school more than full time too! =)  loooooove, a sleep-deprived (after only the 2nd day of school) Certification student.

As much as it means more work, I cannot WAIT to see my students on Friday.  It's only been 2 weeks. Yep, I'm definitely a teacher (in-training) :)
